@therondoshow It's a little bit of both. Record a beat, layer that with a mesh of guitar tracks that have different effects on them, then put some synths on top of it for good measure. The key is the mixing it all together of course. It's a very fun, exciting, and painful process.

Look up "The Social Network - The Score (Part 1 & 2)". That should give you an idea.

Great stuff...this is a score you could sneak into a government building undetected to. If there's a Splinter Cell movie, Trent's gotta do the score to that too...fucking amazing.
