George Morris Excellence in Equitation-Katherine Schmidt and Compari 112

The George Morris Excellence in Equitation classic is held week 11 of the twelve weeks of Winter Equestrian Festival. To qualify you must win a big equitation class (medal,maclay,USET,WIHS) during the circuit. There are 3 panels of judges with 2 judges on each panel. The judges include George Morris, Mclain Ward, and Rodrigo Pessoa.
This is my older sister Katherine Schmidt riding Compari 112. She got a score of 89. She was then in 3rd place going into round 2. In the second round, they took a step of canter at the trot jump, placing them 8th out of the top 34 equitation riders at the WEF Circuit.

so i was reading some info about this GMEE classic, and i was wondering, how do they do the schooling part? did they just judge them schooling in the warm up ring?

@ponyluvers7841 yeep, theres a separate judge for the schooling ring. they give them a score of 0-10, then it is added to the score from their round :)
