http://www.toolstop.co.uk/metabo-602114500-bs18ltx-quick-powerx3-powerextreme... - The BS 18 LTX Quick has been slightly modified to allow the fitment of the PowerX3 attachment - Born through application requests from some of the world's leading screw manufacturers this combination pack will give you cordless mobility to drive screws up to Ø12 x 600 mm screws in softwood without pilot holes or Ø16 x 800 mm with pilot holes.

The PowerX3 is another world first from the Power Tool brand that is now
leading the innovation field in the global cordless power tool market

  • Now that is brilliant. It's not just a drill/driver but, now with that powerX3 attachment & the drills impuls function, it basically means you can use it like an impact driver without the noise. But it does suck BIG TIME! that metabo screw you over as you have to buy another drill just to use the powerX3. I'll stick with my SB18 LTX. Or does this powerX3 fit on the SB18 LTX.

  • @StyXSISoriginal Due to the extreme torque output of the PowerX3 safety lugs had to be machined onto the outer casing of the 43 mm collar on the BS18LTX Quick to stop the side handle and the whole PowerX3 unit from slipping around on the collar. As these safety lugs did not exist on the tools brought out in 2009 or 2010 it is only possible to operate the PowerX3 safely on the new models and we would not recommend its use on the SB18LTX. Hopefully soon all Metabo Drills will come with the lugs.

  • Lets hope they'll adapt the front end of the SB18 LTX, so it can be bought as a replacement part instead of buying a hole drill. Thanks for replying, simon.

  • What a beast! I'm sure other manufactures will come out with there own version of those Torque drivers!
