  • This story is a wonderful study in the very underpinning of a psychopath in action, What an important study indeed in todays world.

  • A Classic, the best Holmes ever!!..Sir indeed, yhou hath done a great favor..many are the blessings ye desereveth..:)

  • @Midorikonokami Thanks for your advice, I will let you know how I get on.If you look up "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" on Wikipedia they have a picture and information on the original 1892 first edition.

  • @MegaGayjesus I think that's a great idea, actually! Have it appraised - you can go to an antiquary, or you can ask someone from the Baker Street Irregulars of the Sherlock Holmes society. The Museum may buy it off you, either the one in Baker Street or the one in Portsmouth, UK. There is one in New York too, if I'm not too mistaken.

Still, after you appraise it, keep me in mind! I've been a Sherlock Holmes fan for so many many years, and I would love to own that. Good luck!

  • @Midorikonokami I have now withdrawn my original 1892 copy of "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes" as I have no idea of its true value, thanks.

  • @Midorikonokami I see, thank you very much.

  • @elenore88 Ouch :S

  • @FullmetalShortOne *laugh* oh, this was a bag of fun though, one has to admit. And remember: we never really saw Holmes in this kind of disguise, and Watson keeps saying he is really fantastic with women when he puts his mind to it. I was more disappointed at 'The Green Gables'. They have Watson get a good beat-up there, and Holmes' reaction is 'oh, you have a bandage, redress that'. Judging by the smuggler's case in canon, I was expecting a more explosive reaction.

  • @Serena2583 They beefed it up quite a bit. Holmes only mentions his engagement in passing, and that with an air of making a joke. Watson is rightly scandalised, but the event and topic stops there. We see neither the aftermath, during, or any reaction.

  • @MegaGayjesus Ah, I can't seem to find you on ebay with a search. Can you link me?
