Similar to the arguably more well known and common (and thus English named) Wasp Beetle (Clytus arietis), Strangalia quadrifasciata is still a typical Longhorn (Cerambycidae) beetle with wasp-like markings.
It is not particularly rare, but is still a nice beetle to find... and perhaps harder to find than its cousin, Strangalia maculata.
N.B. I have since found that Strangalia quadrifasciata is not necessarily its correct latin name... but it also appears that its alternative (Leptura quadrifasciata / Leptura 4-fasciata) is synonymous.
