i have an idea better than recycling. can we make battery rechargers for all kinds of batterys? and if so, maybe even better yet. could we make them solar battery rechargers?

Good video, thank you for the help, good information on helping the community for recycling all these batteries.

Because with the high value of the metals in the batteries the corporations can actually sell the dead batteries and make money. Throwing them in the garbage cost corporations money because they have to pay to have it hauled away. That why car batteries were recycled long before recycling was in fashion.

Staples has a recycling area for batteries, phones, etc.

In the UK when the batteries die,we have to throw the whole thing away,be it phone, laptop, camera etc as the cost of a new battery is usually more than than the thing is worth,my laptop needs a new battery and they want $160 for a cheap one,the laptop isnt worth that sma ewith my drill the drill cost $50 all in a new battery is $120!! stupid, but thats the UK for you,
Lame, if they want you to help they should make batteries last longer, i would never make a trip to recycle batteries, first off I propally put more harmful cemicals out driving to the store then letting my batteries goto a waste site, second a majority of dumps sort there trash to be recycled, 3rd when you bring your batteries in they make cash off selling them to a campany, why you ask, cause batteries have lead, lead = money

@zerodegrees8 Heavy Sigh. You totally miss the point. Recycling any natural resource is a great idea for future generations. You don't make a special trip to recycle. When you're near the center doing other errands, drop them off. If you don't like the capitalistic aspect of someone else making money, then why not start a competing company of your own and donate all the proceeds to folks who need it? The point is you don't want to throw away things that can be recycled.
