http://www.A3Network.com. Transformers 2 'Revenge Of The Fallen' A 2009 American science fiction-action film directed by Michael Bay and produced by Steven Spielberg. It is the sequel to the 2007 film Transformers and the second installment in the live-action Transformers series. The plot revolves around Sam Witwicky (Shia LaBeouf), the man caught in the war between two factions of alien robots, the Autobots and the Decepticons. Sam is having hallucinatory episodes of Cybertronian symbols, and is being hunted by the Decepticons under the orders of their long-trapped leader, The Fallen, who seeks to get revenge on Earth by finding and activating a machine that would provide the Decepticons with an energon source, destroying the Sun and all life on Earth in the process.

With deadlines jeopardized by possible strikes by the Directors Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild, Bay managed to finish the production on time with the help of previsualization and a scriptment by his writers Roberto Orci, Alex Kurtzman, and series newcomer Ehren Kruger. Shooting took place from May to November 2008, with locations in Egypt, Jordan, Pennsylvania and California, as well as air bases in New Mexico and Arizona.

Revenge of the Fallen was released on June 24, 2009, and was a huge box office success, setting records upon release, and grossing a total of $402 million in North America and $836 million worldwide. It was the second most successful film of 2009 (behind Avatar) and 12th overall domestically, and the 28th highest-grossing film of all time and fourth highest of the year (behind Avatar, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, and Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs) internationally. Despite its success at the box office, the film was received poorly by critics, and won three awards at the 30th Golden Raspberry Awards ceremony, including Worst Picture. A third film, Transformers: Dark of the Moon, was released on June 29, 2011, in 3-D.

  • i did not hate that movie i loved that movie

  • @Salesman666 Scorponok from the first film. The music there, is from the scene in the first movie when the Special Ops team lead by Lennox faces off against Scorponok. Hence the name of the title.

  • I don't know why so many people hated this movie. The only thing I didn't care for, was the fact that the last part was shot somewhere els, It was cooling watching them fucke up downtown L.A. ( or where ever it was ment to be in the first one) But even tho that part didn't do anything for me, I still enjoyed it. I get the story, I get the plot. And to the ones who might say I don't know a good movie when I see one, I'm glad, that means I can watch a movie without bitching about things.

  • Does anyone know the full song on 1:24?

  • goodddddd.............

  • when you hear that specific sound of transformers you feel so goooood

  • @hindd95 I''m not against summer blockbusters. However, this wasn't even good for a popcorn movie because the action was so incomprehensible and there was way to much immature comic relief. It almost feels like watching the worst sitcom ever when I watch these stereotype human characters (and some transformers). These human characters and comic relief characters get more screen time than Optimus Prime or Megatron. By the time the action arrives, I didn't give a shit, I just wanted to go away.

  • @XxXLordPeinXxX666 Well, like I said, it's a blockbuster; it doesn't need a good explanation for everything (in my opinion), like that part with Sam, that you said. And about not recognizing the Transformers; I also had that same problem with the cartoon, from what I saw (only some parts; I really don't know much of it). But, like I said, in this case, all I think while I'm watching the action scenes, is that the good guys must defeat the bad ones.

  • @hindd95 I think that was overplotted for a robot war movie. When Sam dies and revives (for some UNEXPLAINED reason), the Matrix is reconstructed, the Matrix was just a 20 minute padding sequence that didn't need to be there. Better yet, why have the main character be a human in a movie called TRANSFORMERS.

And the action was badly shot too, you can't recognize a single transformer from the bunch. The only good thing about this movie were the special effects.

  • @XxXLordPeinXxX666 I don't think is overplotted. I mean, from what I remember, all turns around that crystal; Fallen needs it to rule the world, and the Autobots must stop him (with the help of Sam). I don't know the original cartoon, but I liked the movie. But okay, I totally respect your opinion ;).
