Someone that I know, who wishes to remain anonymous, recorded a short clip showing the police entering Fort Hood on 4/2/14 at about 6:30pm eastern time. For obvious reasons, there wasn't a lot shown in this clip, but wanted to share with everyone to give a small glimpse of the event to the public. Clip shows some police vehicles passing through with sirens being heard from Fort Hood. My friend was inside a building, held his hand out the window to film. He stated he had cell service the entire time (even though reports indicate cell towers were turned off), but cell traffic was bogged down.
Timeline of shooting:
Fort Hood is a military post in Texas which saw a mass shooting in 2009 when Major Nidal Hasan opened fire, killing 13 and injuring 30 others.
Fox News reported yesterday that the FBI and military were searching for an ex-Army recruit believed to be planning a "Fort Hood-inspired Jihad" against U.S soldiers. At current, there is no apparent connection between this report and the ongoing shooting situation.
