In this video I take a look at Photos and show you how you can use it to view, edit and manage your photos.

The Photos app has built in editing which is useful if you plan on uploading your photo or sharing it direct from your iDevice. Editing functions include rotating, enhance, red eye reduction and cropping. You can share your photos via email, message and twitter.

You can also create new albums from directly within the Photos app and move photos between albums. There is also the option to manage multiple photos such as email, copy, delete, print and message.

If you have any questions then please leave a comment below or feel free to send me a message.

  • Hi TJ:

Is there a way to eliminate duplicate photos on my computer when I sync with Iphone?

  • @MyraBlackburn1 Is it photos being imported from your iPhone to your computer?

  • Hi! Is there anyway to delete photos from photo stream?

  • @Feliciadetr Not directly no, they will self delete after 30 days. You can reset Photo Stream via the iCloud website, by clicking on your name at the top of the screen and going into the advanced settings.

  • Excellent lesson, TJ. Thank you.

    peace,

  • @patwilliful Try holding Alt as you load iPhoto and you'll get a dialogue that asks you which library you wish to use, or create a new one. Try looking in the "Photos" folder after clicking "Other Library" if you don't see one you recognise in the list for your old library (that is assuming you accidentally made a new one). Other than that I have no idea what the problem could be.

  • @patwilliful It's difficult to diagnose the problem without knowing exactly what you did. Are there any photos in the Trash folder within iPhoto?

  • @MacAdvisorUK

Yes. Blank in all respects. Photos all gone. It happened really fast, but my impression is that I agreed to a new iPhoto, um, container? Can't remember what the terminology was.

  • @patwilliful All your photos have disappeared from iPhoto?

  • @JunkyardJeff The giveaway video will be up on the 1st Feb yes.

  • Can't u do a video or something where u talk about 5/10 good and bad things about the iPhone? It's so hard to find good reviews where they are being honest!
