Primer, indeed. Magical aim, compels real world action. The aim, can often be reinforcing belief in the end goal. Ritual devotion, for example, is shaping your will to act. When discussing what magic can do, the doing is the magic in motion. It's one thing to imagine a goal, its quite another to reach it and make it manifest. The reality has been changed, from imagining to acquiring. With each acquisition, reality is shaped. Fervor can alleviate suffering, no more food for the gods.
