Here in this video, actor and environmentalist Arnold Vosloo; encourages us not to purchase illegal wildlife souvenir products and contribute to the continuing rapid decline of our sacred wildlife populations throughout the world.

Wildlife trade is the selling or exchanging of wild animal and plant resources globally.

It is estimated that the global trade in wildlife products has an annual turnover of billions of dollars involving hundreds of millions of wild animal and plant species.

The trade is so big, that's it's been estimated to be only second to illegal trafficking in drugs and weapons.

The people involved in the wildlife & illegal wildlife trades, use the animals captured and killed for many different applications or needs in the name of profit. These can include the beautiful skins of animals such as the majestic tigers and leopards, which are turned into rugs, clothing, etc; medicinal ingredients, tourist souvenirs, food products, exotic pets and more.

I do support a legal and sustainable trade in wildlife products or resources, as wildlife resources play an often major and critical role in the livelihoods of the poorest people and regions throughout the world that are so reliant on such commence. Providing it's well regulated and with sound conservation and humane principles intact

But the one thing we can do is reduce and stop the illegal trade in wildlife products! By never purchasing souvenirs such as the ones seen in this video, and by being vigilant and informing others when traveling in regions where illegal wildlife trade occurs such as Asia India and Africa; so we can help preserve our amazing wildlife which is sadly becoming scarcer everyday.

Illegal wildlife trade is one of the primary reasons for the decline in our native wildlife populations, and is the second biggest threat to wildlife species after habitat destruction.

It's been estimated since 1970 more than 90% of the worlds rhinos have disappeared, which have been systematically slaughtered by the thousands for their magnificent horns, by poachers and trophy hunters, and are now critically endangered as a result.

So please help to save our precious, sacred, threatened, and endangered wildlife throughout the world!

Play your part! don't purchase illegal wildlife products! inform others! and help ensure the awesome endangered animals such as the beautiful tiger, the magnificent and noble elephants and the majestic rhinos are here for not only us to enjoy but our future generations as well.

We can't lose our precious, beautiful, and sacred wildlife through selfishness and ignorance; and have to do what we can!

Because remember! "once we lose a species" "we lose it forever!"
