  • Thank-you so much for the translation!!! You're English is great. I didn't know the director had muco too. My son also has it. I really hope this film comes out in the USA - it looks incredible. :)

  • @OurFamily : I translated, sorry for any mistakes I made, but I'm not a native english speaker, I'm from flanders :)

ps: read from the top downwards..

  • Jean Claude van Rijckeghem:

The film is in essence two love stories running paralel to each other, there are also two muco- patients who act quite cynical about their disease and who make jokes about it. Because it is portrayed so convincingly I do think it will be a very moving story..

Maire Vinck: For me the film is about people who have a limited amount of time to live because of their illness and who somehow have to find a way to live their lives

  • Stef Aerts:

To me the film is about two people, Tom and Xavier who both suffer from Mucoviscidosis, meet each other at the hospital and who become friends.

Marie Vinck: I play the girlfirend of Wouter Hendriks who also has Muco but a much more serious sort. i still want to build up a life with him and have kids, but he doesn't want that because his view is something like: "the only moment we have is now and you don't have to think about the future because we probably won't have one..."

  • Hans van Nuffel (Director):

Because I have this illness myself I more or less know how this sort of life is lived, there are many degrees in this sickness, I have one of the least serious versions of muco, otherwise I wouldn’t be able to stand here.. But the film is really my interpretation of this piece of my reality, I mean, I have to be in this hospital too from time to time for all sorts of treatments but luckily it’s not all the time and it’s not as hard on me as it is on them.

  • Jean Claude van Rijckeghem:

I think it’s always interesting as a writer to enter a world that is unkown territory to you, a world you then get to know and that inspires you…

  • Stef Aerts:

It’s not an easy theme so it’s not as if it’s a merry occasion everytime we act but I’s very rewarding.

    Maire Vinck:

I think it’s always nice with Hans(director), it’s his first long movie but I think he’s done a great job.

    Stef Aerts:

It’s my first leading role, it’s his first big movie but it’s not as if this is our first film experience

  • Hans van Nuffel:

Its mainly the synergy, that’s a dirty word for something that, in my opinion is very important.

Everything really has to stick together and one has to get the feeling that if you mix everything together, you get more out of it than just a good cast, good lighting or good filming quality, Film is everything…

  • Jean Claude van Rijckeghem:

We hope to have the movie done by may-june, and then to see what the best chances are to release the film on the big screen… But rather sooner than later, because everyone wants to see the movie finished as soon as possible..

    THE END

  • someone please translate to english - please!!!!

**I can't wait to watch this!!!
