Buncombe Life December 2011

Buncombe Life is an informative monthly television program series produced by Buncombe County Television (BCTV). Each episode shares insight into the ever changing face of Buncombe County. We take great pride in supplying our citizens with the most recent and up to date information within our County and the departments we represent. In this episode of Buncombe Life, Host Kathy Hughes interviews Mandy Stone, Assistant County Manager. They talk about the Human Services Annual Report for Fiscal Year 2011. They also speak to hard economic times, public assistance, and how Buncombe County helps people maintain self sufficiency. Mandy explains the changes in services of the Department of Social Services and the refurbishing of their facilities at 40 Coxe Ave. Kathy also speaks to Kevin Turner, with Veterans Services. They explain the needs and services of our veterans here in Buncombe County. They also explain their new location at 199 College Street.
