she soo fake, first she complain about Tom cruise and when his play was successful she change her spreech. This time around, the movie bomb and then she want nothing to do with it. I think all of she book are horrible, and only watch the first movie becuase of bratt pitt.

Whenever I read about Akasha, I always pictured Gina Torres. There is just something about her grace, strength, and stunning beauty that to me embodies the idea of Akasha and what she stands for.
I couldn't get more than 20 mins into film before I couldn't watch anymore (especially considering how ugly and different they made my favourite character, Marius) so I can't speak to how well Aaliyah played the part. However, if it were to be remade with Anne's blessing... Gina Torres has my vote.

I watched the movie before I read the book. And it was a good movie... But the moment I read the book I didnt like the movie anymore.

Yeah Anne they really dropped the ball with that one, it's interesting how the story of the twins wasn't even in the brought up in the movie, when that was such a big part of book, and so significant, it was basically your take on how vampires even came into being, and it's good folk lore at that....Why don't studios just hire the Authors of the books to make the screen plays...mind boggling

100% agree and accept what she said. She has just said all that needs to be said about that movie. It sucked. Would've prefered a movie about Lestat. That movie has no relation to the series -_-

Ah, I agree. QOTD was really very bad and ... so not what I would imagine anything out of the world to be like. I'm glad Interview with the Vampire was really a nice achievement. I could really relate to that.
Stuart Townsend himself didn't like the script and never did, but his agent insisted it was a big part and he needed it, so Stuart, in the end, took the role out of a great connection and love for the character of Lestat. I think he did very well, and really he is, for me, what makes this film a great wonder rather than a complete disaster. He should portray Lestat in a better movie adaptation of the novel- I'm sure the fans, even those who didn't enjoy QOTD, would be very happy.

The one thing that bugged me about Queen of the Damned was the fact that both well, technically both movies was that they never got Lestat's maker right. It was not Armand or Marius. But besides that I do prefer Queen of the Damned more because of looks, call me shallow.. I do love Stuart Townsends' portrayal of Lestat better also because I can't really stand Tom Cruise. Although, I did love his humor in Interview. XD
