"Punch" is 6 months old- and - if working in the tank and I ignore him, can become real nasty. I have taught him not to know fear - and now he loves attention and contact- he loves to be stroked and petted, and really starves for attention- to the point that - while being carassed, he allows his red cap to close over his eyes as if in a very trusting trance.

  • cute ^3^

  • thanks

  • if he was he would be scratching up against rocks and plants. No - he has definately special spots where he likes to be carassed - especially on the right side - you may see him in the video stay for a short while having his left side petted - then abruptly turning around and comming back into my hand so that the right side gets petted - he favors the right side -

  • still cute i got one today it looks so funny and just will brighten up any fish tank community.

p.s. i love their afros XD

  • beware that the "community" fish are compatable and are able to get their fairt share of food - Orandas can be very greedy and pushy - dominant - as well - no matter what type of fish you get - beware that Oranda's are waste producers unlike few others - they can make a safe healthy system into a dangerous toxic environment to some fish that are not well tollerant of changing conditions of water quality in the blink of an eye - especially if you overfeed

  • if one is able to touch his goldfish like so, that means he knows more about goldfish than most other people.

  • That's weird, how does it feel? I bumped my betta with my hand once but then I was like quickly taking my hand out of the water so I didn't feel much

  • cruel to fish

  • Two of my orandas are just like this.. Narla will rush over the second my hands enter water and she rubs herself all over me. Peoples comments about damaging slime coat are true in some cases but with a well looked after aquarium it is no concern as it is constantly replaced by them.. also most decent de chlorinating products contain alot of aloe vera which is very good for them and slime coat... fishys wouldnt do it if it was gonna hurt them. :) does make checking them over soooooo much easier

  • little fishy arms!

  • Wowww! I'm so impressed! What a sweetheart he is!

  • That is too cute...

  • I didnt know you could actually jerk off a damn fish... just kidding. i pet my cichlids as well... very cute vid there... cheers.

  • Aww!! 0:04 It looks like it's cuddling your hand :33333

  • Cutie :)

  • I had a regular goldfish that used to love to be pet. He'd rub against my hand and fingers like a cat. I think this is normal for any fish in the carp family.

  • awww thats so cute. i wish my oranda was like that hes really shy i got him 3 days ago. he gets scared when i put my had in there to hand feed him. you can check him out on my channel
