don't do this if you don't know how. its a bad idea in general for normal cars. cause you ruin the syncros or the sleeves that select the gears. older transmissions and bigger trucks have non syncro so you either have to double clutch or this. its fun. but don't do it all the time or else have fun rebuilding a tranny.
