dont they have a .454 casull round?
-
1:49 a real ganster just need one hand to handle that gun
-
(Cont) Did you sell it to buy more toys or for more serious matters? I like the guns myself but the big problem for me is they're not lefty friendly AT ALL.
Sadly have you noticed just how touchy a lot of people are on Youtube about gun videos? Crying over music, over modified battle rifles that exist in the tens of millions...or even just because they're anti-gun.
-
Oh it's definitely more versatile...it's just not a dependable gun for self defense or the kinds of things most of the kids out there want a DE for. They're known to stovepipe a lot, have a rather eccentric gas system and the magazine is a bit finicky due to floating.
As it comes to the Automags, they're definitely more of a collector's piece and the Grizzly from LAR is probably the only one of the 3 that would be feesible (in .357 particularly) due to being a 1911.
-
@lexousa it locks open when empty, not a jam, theres no putting a round down the pipe then running the slide closed with out breaking the ejector.
-
@Umimugo its essentially a 1911 with a different caliber and a longer barrel. its very similar when it comes to its internals. theres definitely a resemblance between the two when it comes to externals.
-
@PeteThePivot does it take down like a normal 1911? (just a field strip)
-
@Umimugo actually its very accurate, and keeps a low recoil with the .30 carbine. it would definitely be reliable in any situation.

How much did this Automag cost you? I've always considered the Automag V and the Grizzly better guns...the DE's ridiculous gas system, complexity, weight, and free-floating magazine make it little more than a target toy. Though .50 AE isn't exactly the kind of gun you want to have to explain using in court for self defense...I can't imagine any bear, boar, or other dangerous woodland creature standing much of a chance against these.

@IcabodCrane I just sold it for $750.00,I paid $700.00 over 10 years ago, shot over 1000 rounds threw it & loved every one of them, I have shot the D.E & think it's versatility with the different calibers that it can be is astounding.
as much as I liked my Automag V, It was hard to find magazines & parts, It seemed to be more of a colecter's piece!
