Mukono Aids Recovery Organization (MACRO) is a small charity based in the Mukono District of Uganda. It was established in 2001 as a community based organization and in 2006 it was registered as a non government organization. Its main aim is to control the spread and the effects of HIV/Aids epidemic through effective community education and the development of its projects.

Macro Uganda operates in rural areas where poverty is at its most viscous. Many people die needlessly for no reason other than that they do not have the money for a meal a day, nor basic medical aid, nor clean drinking water. It is MACRO's mission to help these people. MACRO works to set-up income generating projects in villages, including piggery and poultry farming. We also build wells and give lectures on health, sanitation and HIV/Aids.

All projects set up by MACRO still face problems and need your help.
