  • hey i just realised - 2 years later i HAVE one of those tambourines!!! got it at soundwave 2009 when he FINALLY came back to Perth! it's my pride and joy.

  • oh shit i just read all these comments - people aren't moving/dancing because we were all packed in too tightly trying to get close to the front. it's very intense. that's how we roll in aus.

  • Hehe.. What a goof, gotta love him

  • No young man, YOU don't seem to understand - yes, Trent produces, arranges, composes, etc., etc.. BUT even on The Downward Spiral for the song "The Becoming" Trent had Adrian Belew come in to add in a little summin-summin; ie: the ring mod guitar, because Trent wanted Adrian to ADD to the flavor of the song. Also, whatever producer Trent has on board per album adds elements here & there to create the album as a smoother cohesive unit. And yes, Chris Vrenna WAS part of NIN from 89' to 97'.

  • You don't seem to realize what I just said, he doesn't tap in to any vibe for anyone else. He uses his own creativity and his music is driven by his own emotions. Although him an Chris Vrenna were part of a band together, it was Exotic Birds, not NIN. He has collaborated with people on a few songs, but he is still the only member of the band. When Trent hires new people for a band, as I said before, it's only for a tour. He doesn't hire people until after the album the tour is for is complete.

  • Him and only him eh? That's true in the realistic sense of your statement. However, I personally notice that when we as people surround ourselves with certain people, we tap into a vibe. Each new line-up Trent has had also included a nearly entirely different vibe for NIN. That's just my observation. And with that, might I add - I miss Chris Vrenna! I'm just saying...

  • You make it sound like NIN is some kind of band that Trent is quitting. Trent is NIN, him and only him. He hires a band when he goes on tour but that's the most of it. He said he is quitting touring for a long time but not sure if he wants to for good and has said that he is still making music. He is supposed to have new stuff out by 2010.

  • haha

  • Dude, whether he calls it quits for NIN or not, the man is NOT (I repeat), NOT going to stop making music. He can't! He's like Al Jourgensen, Dr. Dre & Perry Farrell - the creative juices are ALWAYS flowing....even if he feels he needs to take a break, he won't stop making music. Remember his solo stuff on the Lost Highway soundtrack? Maybe he'll venture into that more. Or ya never know, there might even be another Pigface album with more involvement from Trent? Endless possibilities dude!!

  • ..so true!

  • Trent can do any damn thing he wants. Id be pleased to see him sing Christmas Carols. I hope he changes his mind on calling NIN quits.
