This video demonstrates straight leg sit-ups without anchoring the feet UNDER a stationary object. Instead, the feet are pushed outward against the inside of a power cage.

Developing:
- hip flexors
- hip abductors

Beneficial for developing hip strength and stability which is essential when executing compound movements such as squats and deadlifts.

  • Jesus christ guys. I've seen a lot of strrength training concepts. You guys are really pioneers from what i've seen. Do you press the dumbbell against you torso instead of holding it with a double grip to focus effort on the core?

  • Thanks for the kind words.

Yes, you definitely want to pull the db into your chest as you drive up. A regression to this movement would be to anchor your feet under a stationary object. This advanced version is unanchored and you have to force your legs outward against the cage.
