Knowledge is power. Education is the key to our future and the evolution of society. In this day and age, there are still places in the world where the ducation of girls is not encouraged or even offered. Within the lower classes of East India, illiterate girls are perceived as more useful as physical laborers than as educated contributors to society.
The Sulaxmi School for Girls in Lucknow, India was founded with the intention to change the course of the young and in many cases homeless girls' lives through basic education...one at a time.
Recognizing the need to support education for the girls, Lisa Kamen has dedicated her time, resources and energy to see the simple gift of education reach as many girls as possible.

We passed over the Kala Pani to reach paradise.
I sincerely hope that all the girls grow up to live a wonderful and peaceful life too.
