@eRENLAI Yunnan is one of the most beautiful places. It will be both a tragedy for biodiversity and for the people if the dam projects for the Salween go ahead. Further downstream in Burma plans to construct the Tasang dam will have far worse consequences since it is in the middle of a conflict zone.

I didn't know this region of China before but the wonderful images in your video show how much this environment, natural as well as social, should be taken care of.
Let's hope the Nu River is not going to become the next Yangtze with its Three Gorges Dam that has had such a huge impact on local populations.
