Something Forboding about surfing out there.....(at lurks beneath, so I've heard).

I have wanted to spearfish out there, but haven't got the "nerve" to swim/fin all the way out there....like almost 2 miles...need a boat to get there!

I've heard a couple of scary night diving stories about the area. This spot is a lot of work to get to and the wave is a little above average. There are many other easier to get to spots that are better and less crowded. It is a beautiful place, though. Quite a novelty. I've paddled it a couple times and it took about 45 minutes or so one way. Sucks coming back in.

A friend used to feed the sharks off the pier there... were too many to count...

You're right, it is a very novel spot, and I look at it all the time (in person, and by Google Earth, and USGS Aerial Beach Line photos/you can inspect dive area to about 50 foot depth from Aerial Survey Photos)..."I could if ..".  One of these days!

reminds me of a place I scuba'd in the carib - and not a thing I'd want to do again. Sea urchins w/meat tenderizer in short supply!
