  • Fantastic. I have always been a fan of Slims. I have a lot of his recordings. I saw him at the Gaumont Cinema top of Southend-on-Sea Pier Hill around 1957? I'll always remember that.

  • An Absolutely Fabulous Version of this song - sung by the Infamous – and legendary - SLIM WHITMAN and his - lovely - Son - BYRON. Marje Morgan..

  • Great version by a country great and his son. Did Byron ever cut his own record or cd he is great just like his dad! Wow they look alike as do buck and buddy Alan Owens.

  • Superb.

  • She was just twenty three, my high school sweetheart and biide, and when she died it was like having my heart ripped out and thrown into the sun. This song always bring it all back to me, and nothing ever changes.

Great, keep going and enjoy making music. In the meantime I'm 63 years old and play every day on my guitar and started to play the accordeon. It's difficult but I'll keep on trying.

    Kind regards,

    Lucy.

  • @geijn082 -- I am a 77 tears old (and I do mean OLD) Southern Gentleman (Not many of us left) and I still play my harmonica.

  • Beautiful.

  • @hankwilliams1000 Actually, Roy Acuff was the very first to record it in 1945. Check it out here: /watch?v=POTHIP_GjY8

  • I meant ''girl''.
