@Videshi2001 if u didn't convert wall in "Editable Poly\Patch\Mesh" and 3ds Max is not creating opening for door\window automaticaly, try "Select and link" window\door to the wall (the button "Select and link" in this video is right next after "Redo" button)
Sorry for my English.

Legend! Been waiting for so long for someone to post a good tutorial on how to do windows and doors in 3DS Max :D
-
@jonjd46 I have the same issue and my depth/height values are the same. Just for a test I set them all to 1 meter... I can create all the windows/doors I like, but it won't cut them.

holy crap you did that way easier than i did!
-
Oke.. here is the thing.. i spent 3 hours trying to know why its not making a gap in the wall when i do doors windows etc. The wrong that i did was i converted the wall to editable poly that way what ever u do it wont make a gap so DONT convert the wall to editable poly. hope this helps and wont waste some one 3 hours

@charcoal777 You have to set the walls and the doors the same size, if they are different this does not work. Its tricky and MAX doesn't forgive any errors unfortunately.

@graphomet I do not, but I am working in Revit more than usual now. I can post some Revit tutorials, but its not going to be interior design related, not my discipline.
