Rep. Scott: "This amendment by Congressman Westmoreland, my colleague from Georgia, is the most treacherous and dangerous of the amendments. There's no amendment that clearly points out what the desires have been for all four of these amendments. The goal has been one thing and one thing only and that is to kill the Voting Rights Act."
All this talk of racial discrimiation is just crying wolf. Here in Georgia these same politicians say it is racist to require all voters to show government issued IDs at the voting both! This is ridiculous nonsense! They think if they cry racism then everybody has to shut up and let them have their way. BS!!!! If you don't want to show ID when you vote, then you can't vote! These are the same people who said republicans were only critical of Franklin Raines because he's black!

If this guy Scott were truely sincere about his comment that we should have the right of Pursuit of Happiness, he would move to Abolish Congress and make a law requiring government to leave us the hell alone.

The Congress has to pass a Constitutional Amendment allowing an exception to Article 1 Section 2 of the Constitution, or DC needs to renounce it's District status and become a State with all the responsibilities of at state. Unless one of these happens, the DC Voters rights act will be UnConstitutional.
