Phil Emerson - "Brother, can you spare a dime" ( arr. as a "Blues" )

I have been wanting to do this for years, and finally did it...the old Depression era Standard, "Brother, can you spare a dime?", has always been a favorite song of mine..it is a 32 bar song form, with an 8 bar bridge...but I always wanted to lose the bridge, and play it as a 16 bar Blues..which I've done, here...it makes a nice Blues!...Again, I used the "Johnny Smith" gibson, with heavy gauge round wound strings, two tracks...one take, each...I love the sound, into the mic!..the 2nd half of the solo ( the second time around ) I gave both guitars an "Implied" swing / double time feel, without actually going all the way there, with it...this is a perfect song, to do this with..I'll also record it, in it's orig. 32 bar form, with the 8 bar bridge...a wonderful song, here...

Thanks!...There is some amazing songs, from the Depression era....this isn't the whole song..I will be posting a version soon with the complete song form...it has a wonderful bridge, actually. I wanted to take the "essense" of the song ( the 1st 8 bars ) and make a 16 bar blues, here...makes a great blues....
