The original version of the song is here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBUUOJpFg9Y

This is my first videosong of all time, hopefully there will be more to come (it took a lot of work to make!)

A videoSong is a new medium with 2 rules:
1. What you see is what you hear (no lip-syncing for instruments or voice).
2. If you hear it, at some point you see it (no hidden sounds).

The song started out as a cover of Jack Conte's song Gulf but ended up turning into something very different from the original... it was just an experiment in interpreting the song and making videosongs.

I hope you like it! If you did, leave a comment.

  • This is so similar to Tool, I love it!

  • cool interpretation

  • Reminding me of Tool/A Perfect Circle somehow...Love them both...and Jack Conte's music of course! You did a great job!

  • Gut gemacht !!

  • Amazing! You did a friggin beast job at this! Jack would be proud. [So would Nataly] :D

Nop, probably live, but when it comes to recording an electric drumset can be sometimes better, depending on your budget. I bet that if a producer used a software like AD and mixed right, you would listen to it and think: hmmm this is a nice sounding kit, and you wouldn't even notice that it was a "fake" drumset. Although, live acoustic drumsets are probably the best option.

  • @himl994 na dude, the only good sounding drum kit is an acoustic one... get that in your head

  • @musicalman1995

I don't agree, the sounds are horrible indeed, but if you get a nice software like Addictive Drums or Superior Drummer and use those sounds, you'll get a better sound, recording drums professionally requieres a bunch of money, so instead of having some home-recorded acoustic drums you can have a really nice sound with an electroc kit.
