My moter died febuary 18th 2009. I remember us listening to this song all the time. it is a song i sang to her the night she died and will always be 1 of my all time favorites. its been 14 months roday that she passed and i still cant stop crying. i love you mom. your memory and your passing will always be hard for me to ovwer ome. @greengurl69 I don't really cry when I hear this great tune..I sit back with a mug of hot coffee and my favorite tobacco and I reminisce about that time in my life. I htink of the girl I was dating at the time. I sincerely hope she is doing well...Had a VERY messy breakup [ mostly my fault, I was a bastard ]....People come into our lives for a reason, a season or a lifetime...she was a short season

@fulltimer56 I was listening to this tune in the spring of '75 while a senior in high school just before I shipped off to the Marine Corps. Makes me think of a girl I dated briefly then.Nothing ever came of it. I hope she is doing well. I married another girl I met about the same time..We celebrated our thirty-third anniversary last year...Lot's of challenges and hard times but also moments of sublime beauty. Life has been good to me
