Here's a simply take on a classic Caribbean dish. Though peas and rice is associated as being a Jamaican dish, it's enjoyed throughout the Caribbean and just about everywhere immigrants from the Caribbean have not settled.

  • I like to throw in a piece of smoked meat, like hamhock or smoked neck bone. It makes it really yummy.

  • @mightlife I think Caribbean people say it backwards so it is obvious who is from there and who is not. :-)) lol So Peas n' rice. is acceptable in the region. I find Jamaicans usually say Rice and Beans tho. I thought only Barbadians say peas n' rice.
