E CHE SENSIBILITà, CHE TOCCO! UN ASSOLUTO MAESTRO!

CHE ARTISTA! CHE CUORE, CHE PASSIONE, CHE MAESTRIA! UN EMOZIONE INDESCRIVIBILE ASCOLTARE ESECUZIONI COME QUESTA!

@kingsfort1 not only for this repertoire.
for all who are not a pianist: it is a big difference playing a steinway D model or like grigory did in this recording on a small sized piano! sokolov deserves only the best instrument.

Probably the greatest living interpreter of the late romantic repertiore.

great, sure...but I still prefer Gilels' interpretation, a bit more lyric.

great! the slow part gave me goose-flesh it was so elegant and poetic. The fast parts were so exciting, b/p soared.

this man NEEDS to make way way way more official recordings! at least record some of his concerts!

This is downright unbelievable. Do you have the remaining of the recital? The music world can never thank you enough for uploading such rare and inspiring video. Bravo to YOU and Sokolov!

FENOMENAL!!
Although I ask myself why so many pianists use this dangerous fingering...
