they love censoring stuff in the guitar hero games you know? what´s the point of having rage against the machine´s "killing in the name" seeing they say the f-word like 20 times? do you play those games I saw you subscribed to some of the better players
yeah whenever you hear a rap song on radio it´s mostly muted and about disturbed...the band had to release a second version of the song for broadcasting where they removed the entire "angry" part and in rock band 2 it´s muted
Yeah on TV theyll take the swear word and change it to another word. Example on theis movie "Death Sentence the guys says fuck but on Tv he says frak. Frak sounds like what a girl would say. (Elliot, Scrubs XD)
I agree with the whole censorship thing. When I work I listen to the radio all day. At first I hated it, but after awhile I got used to it. I guess it doesn't bother me because I hear almost the same songs played on the radio everyday! xD
I'm surprised that some radio stations edit words like "hell" or Damn". The radio station I listen to, don't really edit to much. The only bad words they really censor are "Fuck' or "Shit". I hear "Bitch" on the radio plenty of times.
Also, I'm okay with some sensorship and *adult themes* but too much boggles my mind (which is why i dont like happy tree friends and southpark very much *at least now* 4kids however suck at sensoring. *in pokemon they sensored RICEBALLS! with sandwiches! And when they SHOWED riceballs they called them doughnuts WTH?*)
Oh yeah! There is another example about this special (200th episode) on South Park that got a group of radical Muslim extremists who threatened to kill the creators all because they mentioned their god who supposedly was in a bear suit. So Comedy Central had to bleep out the Muslim God 's name and the guy in the bear suit turned out to be Santa Claus. I've heard about that and saw videos about it.
Music is crap these days (some are good though), but even sensorship these days are OUT OF CONTROL, even for the most innocent words, back then it was "off the radar" though *sigh* the old days...
i agree

Sometimes the artist just re-dubs his voice so say a different word too.
