Released in 2008 on Alien8 records.

Aidan Baker = 1/2 of the Canadian drone / doom / experimental band Nadja. Enjoys guitar effects, feedback, slow chord progressions and sound manipulation.

Tim Hecker = ambient / electronic artist. Used to be in Jetone. Uses a laptop to make big washes of ambient music. Uses many textures, timbres, subtleties in his music. Also Canadian.

These two work very well together. make some great noise laden ambient music.

I highly recommend this to anyone who likes experimental electronic music. This album is the sound of storm brewing in an dark forest. A whirlpool forming in a calm oasis that has ghost flying out of it.

Very cool.

  • The Canadian drone and metal that I've heard is pretty good. Too bad none of that stuff gets promoted in the states.

  • i don't it gets promoted here either. Most of the cool bands I check out are totally by accident.

  • sounds interesting, i saw something about nadja and black boned angel on a blog... ill have to check this out, sounds like my cup of tea.

  • Yeah, I got some reviews up on all these guys.
