The proposed cutoffs for tax decreases and tax credits are shrinking as we near the end of the campaign.

  • How is the truth "in the middle" when these videos clearly indicate that the Democrats are to blame for the mortgage crisis?

  • You'll notice that I said the truth is "often" in the middle. In this case I'd agree with you. The truth was to the right. Were it not for the fact that Freddie and Fannie broadcasted their willingness to buy loans that allowed homeowners to leverage up to 60% of their monthy income on a mortgage, the trickle up recession wouldn't have taken root. Private lending firms would never have made such horrible loans if the GSEs weren't eager to buy them. McCain made a mistake not pounding the fact.

  • @libertysmouthpiece We think that is all bad. Look at student lending. Students have almost no ability to pay anything when they get those loans, and increasingly, they have little ability to pay when they graduate. Underwriters never look under the hood at the student. Never ask, is this person likely to graduate, likely to pay. Nothing. That cheap credit is leading to an ed bubble which will burst. When it does, many colleges will close or cease growing.

  • Tax cut only to enrich China, you get $600 check you will spent 50% of that to buy some thing, 80 % of that some thing is MAKE IN CHINA , wake up AMERICAN , we need to BUY AMERICA, we need to bring the JOBS back to AMERICA

  • Well when there is video proof of Democrats praising Franklin Raines Of Fannie Mae and deflecting Republican calls for an investigation of the housing situation in 2006 its pretty fucking hard NOT To blame the democrats Besides I guarantee everyone of those mortgages that are defaulting were given during the Clinton years.

  • The bias is blaring. Democrats like to blame the Republicans and Republicans like to blame the Democrats. The truth is often in the middle. Your assertion above that Bush's economic policy was catastrophic is nearsighted. It's not nearly as much Bush's fault as you'd like to make it. Government was complicitous in the artificial pressures put on the housing market and things fell apart. A significant portion of that was ushered in under the guise of benevolence by Sen. Dodd and Rep. Frank.

  • it is amazing to me how if democratic president is in power everything is democrats fault, and than if a republican president is in power everything is ,again democrats fault..so it looks like democrats are always at fault and republicans are just plain wunderkinds and Ainstains...amazing how that works..huh...?

  • Just learned about this myself this weekend...amazing. Guess "fusion" is the way of the future?

  • Wow! The RNC needs to be running this as an ad this weekend!!!! good job!!

  • 1) Bush cut taxes and the economy grew

    2) If you still want to deny that and believe the economy under Bush was a disaster how is beating the American people over the head with more taxes going to help?

    3) The democrats are the ones responsible for strong arming the banks with making bad loans and turned a blind eye when the republicans tried to fix it

If you need more proof than all I can say is get off the Kool Aid
