This video tutorial is demonstrating how to easily model the as built conditions of a process plant with the help of AutoCAD Plant 3D and FARO Laser Scanner data.
In a simple example it shows how to fit pipes into the point cloud and how to attach a suitable flange to the as-built CAD model of the pipe run.

  • @wannabflautist Check out the Autodesk Plant Exchange website. You can import Inventor models into Plant 3D using the AEC Exchange via the .ADSK file format. It will retain your existing nozzle information from the Inventor model.
