I am still waiting for a response from any Unk person as to how Unk can justify putting signs south of the Stony Creek bridge. How could anyone in good conscience vote for someone that broke a Gentleman's Agreement between two friends? If Unk does this, how could I trust him with Branford's budget?
I love it, political satire at its best. dems are too serious......but they forget what they did last time to John, Bill Aniskovich and Peter Black.....now humor is on them and they complain....
And it wasn't until Granite-gate that the RTM Dems began to disassociate from Morris and company. The Dems supported Cheryl on Queach by voting to hear Vigliotti's plan - it was the Republicans who voted against it. The Dems supported Morris' attempt to change Branford's form of government - the Republicans didn't let it happen. The Republicans HIRED a lawyer to fight the Morris' Stoney Creek Quarry lease. So get off your high horse
Gee, BranfordVoter, nothing like generalizations. Is your little rant an example of Democratic tolerance or respect for other points of view? But let's forget about national politics for a moment and think back to the last election when the DEMOCRATS nominated and elected Cheryl Morris. The Democrats sent out nasty mailers, wrote scathing letters that included outright falsehoods. (continued)
If you drill down to the core, the Branford election is not about D.C. policies, it is about people, and what is best for the town. I have met Mr. Opie. I have talked to Mr. Opie in great detail about his ideas/plan concerning Branford. I can say with all confidence that Mr. Opie is the correct choice for this town. I personally "interviewed" all three candidates, before choosing which one to support. I hope for your sake, you can do the same.
You might be fooled into thinking that DC Republicans are different than Branford Republicans...but they are exactly the same. These videos prove it. These videos are typical of Republicans...filled with LIES. John Opie, a Republican just like President Bush. Republicans are against universal health care, they are against amnesty for immigrants, they are against keeping spending down. They are FOR increasing the deficit, they are FOR the war in Iraq. If you like Bush, you'll like John Opie.
This ad is spot-on! John is "calling a spade a spade". Ever since Granite-gate, Unk's sole purpose is to get back at Morris. Why can't you people see that?! Again, another democrat with an agenda!!!
Oh, please...the Branford democratic party actively participates in lying and personal agendas! Look at Morris...she wouldn't "fall in line" with the mother-ship's agenda, so they canned her! The Branford democrats have no honor!
On August 13th you had a joint press release with UNK Daros where you stated together with UNK that: "We've come together because the Tabor dispute is more important than the upcoming selectman's race", but in your desperate attempt to win the election you are not true to your own word. No "nice guy" as you claim to be, will put his name on two such a shameful ads. Moshe Gai.
