I'm also blind. Have been since birth. The thing that I just can't wrap my mind around is seeing through colours like a red glass. I think of colour as a solid thing and it just really confuses me!
Your sister sounds great by the way!
I just subscribed to your videos. I hope you do a lot more. Before I got my guide dog when I used a white cane I was told the red tip helped people see it in snow.
