I seen this when it was first broadcast. I'm sure John jumped around and trashed the amp (much to Willy's dismay). ???

hey, wiggle58...maybe we crossed paths. my youth was also extremely misspent but at least we had the honour of misspending our adolescence to the accompaniment of these brilliant lunatics.

I saw him for the first time around ´73 when he used to play in a pub in oxford and he used to swing down on a rope hanging from the ceiling, while doing a tarzan impression !
I´ve read a message on this site that said he couldn´t sing, couldn´t play and couldn´t even walk right, I don´t agree with any that and apart from being a great live act, he wrote some brilliant songs, like "trying times" . . . .

Yep it was me that said he couldnt sing. John, in his autobiography, would back that up with "had a vocal range of almost an octave" (or similar). But that doesnt detract from the fact that the guy is pure entertainment. Im a massive fan, he should have had more success and Id agree with the comment on brilliant songs, "Josephine", "What a Woman", "Greeny Blue", "Misty Mountain" and loads more... I wish him all the success in the world, he deserves it.
