While playing at a blues jam a guitarist approached me and said he was working on a demo. He asked me to come to the studio and replace several drum tracks. I prepared the songs only when I got to the studio he had different songs he wanted me to play cold, no prep. Smooth jazz isn't really my thing so I just tried to have fun with it.
BTW, this is not the final mix. Never got to hear that.
For the video end of things I did this on a whim and didn't have any photos in mind to put with the music. I mean, this is YouTube- you gotta have soemthing to look at while the music plays. So I just used the most convenient, stuff on my hard drive. After using the shot of my snare with Richie's autograph I couldn't resist going to a photo of him for a little tribute so-to-speak. Richie is currently undergoing treatment for liver cancer and has no medical insurance! If you can pitch in to help do it with PayPal using: richie.medical@shaw.ca
Sounds good. I especially like the snare sound.

The snare heads were cranked more than normal. I thought a piccoloish sound more appropriate for this "Weather Channel" music.

Hey Sledge, nice vid. This is dum6sh1t from the zone. Those AAX hats sound fricken' sweet in that recording too. I might have to look into some of those.

Thank you, glad you liked it.
Actually that's an HHX Stage Hat Top (natural) over an AAX Stage Hat Bottom (brilliant), 14's.
