Here award winning poet, playwrite, Ntozake Shange talks about her mental health and physcial challenges. She tells us about her suicide attempts and strokes. Here story is one of strength and overcoming great adversity.
Shange is the author of "For Colored Girls Who Have Considered Suicide when the Rainbow Is Enuf: A Choreopoem" which has been turned into a major motion picture by Tyler Perry. The theatrical release of "For Colored Girls" is scheduled for November 6th, 2010 and will available on DVD and Blue Ray in 2011.
