One of the fights during our 35th sparring meeting.
The thrust seems to be the most efficient and natural move with the spear.

  • @knitmann It depends on what culture it comes from. Zulu iklwa were just over 4ft long, Chinese qiang can vary from 6-9ft, Japanese yari is usually about 6.5ft, most European spears were about 7ft, while cavalry spears could be about 9ft, and some ancient spears from Greece or Macedonia could get up to about 16ft for use in a phalanx or other formations. Really just depends, but for all intents and purposes, you're correct; spears usually average around 7-9ft.
