  • hey is it worth to replace my disk in MBP (5400 rpm) to this one? do you feel that it runs faster? or is it not real difference? thanks for the feedback.

  • My answer would be.... it depends. If I need to upgrade from a smaller drive to a 500Gb unit I'd get the 7200RPM one. I wouldn't bother however upgrading a 5400RPM 500Gb unit to the 7200RPM 500Gb unit.

  • @voodoochicken123 I guess I agree with you on the crap quality I received from Seagate, though I dont know about the Hitachi, I trusted the Seagate brand, and bought the ASG drive and to my dissappointment, it died the click of death in 6 months.

  • get the 500 gb hitachi 7200. the seagate is a clicking/freezing piece of garbage.
