Robot View Demo

Robot View is an app for the Android phone that allows one to easily create 3D
views of the world. Think Google Street View creation in the palm of your hands.
The app uses OpenGL, accelerometers, compass, GPS and the on board camera to automatically
construct pseudo mosaic 3D panoramas. Started off as an experiment in augmented reality. by the vegan robot.

Available on the android market as a time limited beta!

also I've found out the usage of compass isn't very accurate. after turning round for few times the room looks "moved" a bit so the upcoming new photos are placed with an offset from the first photo... dunno if this is correctable

if only this could stitch the photos together this would be the best panorama app I've tried....

any changes? I've tried it on milestone - it works. however when I choose room and press "eye" I have to be in portrain screen mode or it won't continue - did you experience this?

Also opening keyboard messes up the compass - it looks like then it uses just accelerometer or something

mate I think you're a genius... this is the best app on the android platform.. can't wait to see stitching improved and sharing via the phone improved...

(best would be if it automatically grabbed and sticked as you panned around)
