Dear Friend,

This year marks fifty years since I first began my ministry. These days, massive crowds, that stretch as far as the eye can see, come to hear the message of the Gospel proclaimed at our campaigns, but that was not always the case. When I first started as a young man, I preached my heart out to gatherings sometimes of only five people. What empowered me to reach this point in ministry, from that humble start, is the power of the Holy Spirit. Without the Spirit, the Christian faith is powerless. He is the essence, the secret dynamic of the faith, and its actuating force.

The time has come where the Spirit's Fire will fall on a new generation... the flame will sweep out from there and spread across the nation! As the Prophet Joel foretold, "And it shall come to pass afterward that I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your old men shall dream dreams, Your young men shall see visions" (Joel 2:28). I pray that the fire of the Holy Spirit will be lit in the hearts of young people.

This is the purpose of Firestorm USA. Entertainment alone is of no value to me. The cry of our hearts is for the Holy Spirit to be there. The church of Jesus Christ was created to be a life-boat, not a pleasure boat, and we cannot fulfill our call as Christians without the Spirit; the Bible instructs us: "Be filled with the Spirit" (Ephesians 5:18).

In nature, fires are not tame and storms are not calm. And the Holy Spirit is mighty and powerful! I hope that you will join us for Firestorm USA. I know that you will receive a flame from heaven and your heart will burn as a fireplace for the Fire of God. I believe that you will never be the same!
