IBS 2011 / Orlando Florida
The New American Home (TNAH) is a project commissioned by the NAHB and is recognized as the national and
international showcase home displaying our country's latest and greatest building products. The show home is a
collection of creative concepts using design, construction techniques, and materials for the building industry to take and
put to use in any new or remodeled home. The TNAH show home is the official showcase home of the NAHB 2011
International Builders' Show to be held in January 2011 in Orlando, Florida TNAH 2011 is being built to attain "Emerald" status to the Green Building Standard certified by ANSI. The home will
features the latest breakthroughs in green building, construction technology, state-of-the-art energy efficiency package,
and design trends in home building. The show case products have been provided by the NCHI [National Council of the
Housing Industry] members, the leading manufactures/suppliers for the construction industry.




The 2011 home is of the "American Empire" style but also includes elements of "Greek Revival" with the 8,742 sq. ft.
This house integrates classical architecture design with the most fashionable new
technology. , Elegant Style with its comfortable layout; richly,
eccentric interiors; and easy classicism. The New American Home explores and celebrates the relationship between a
home and a family and fulfills the family that lives within it.




The Community

The selected infill building site for the New American Home 2011 is located on South Lake Davis Drive, an old
neighborhood 10 - 12 blocks from Lake Eola Park - the very Center of downtown Orlando. The lot being on the South
side of Lake Davis provides the panoramic views of the downtown Orlando sky line.

  • Although my tastes tend to lean contemporary, I must say this is a spectacular home. The materials are clearly the best in the industry and the fit and finish looks fantastic. Kudos to the builders on this one; you are clearly one of the best in your industry.

    On a side note, who is the person singing on the track for the video? I love ths song. Thanks for posting and most of all thanks for giving me a chance to dream.
