Next part, No Prisoners: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CET6HqYP1gM ; Previous part: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YK745YwHDns&feature=related Part 25 of an alternative (or imaginary) version (or vision? or animated film series?) of Valve software's Half-Life 2 (with elements from Episodes One and Two), made using Garry's Mod. This is the first section of what originally was going to be a 35 minute part 25 - I'm not sure if it works as a standalone video, but action - lots of it - is on the way! A Half-Done Productions production (please see the Steam Community page - a big thanks, as always, to ApocalypX). Credits: John Aylward is the voice of Dr Magnusson; Robert Guillaume the voice of Eli Vance; Robert Culp the voice of Dr Wallace Breen. John Patrick Lowrie and Mary Kae Irwin are the voices of the rebels; Adam Baldwin the voice of the rebel announcer; Ellen McLain the voice of the Overwatch. Music by Kelly Bailey. All content, including the audio, is copyright and courtesy of Valve software. Many thanks also to the following from www.garrysmod.org for the extra Gmod stuff: MadJawa for the Laser 2.0; Mrak for the headcrab canisters; pac_187 for the gravity-point grenade; Team H04X for the point-gravity gun; Teta_bonita for the nukes and Redeemer; AnticitizenOne for the special effects (tesla, starfield); ph34r for the point gravity; BlackhawkGT for the Advisor adv dupe; Glitchy for the Cremator model; lich king (NPC) and TheSpectator (model) for the Female Assassin; Bakon Guy for the Combine Shotgunner. Thanks as well to GCFScape. (And the subtitles should read 'Roger that' and not 'Rodger'! What a buffoon...)
No no an extractor is a grenade, same with bouncer.
here's some other code names for the combine:
biotics=antlions and other organic enemies.
necrotics=zombies.
restrictor=thumper(the thing scaring antlions away)

@felk4321 Thanks for the code names, but yes, I've deliberately changed the meaning of some of the Combine's call signs to fit the action in the videos (I'm wondering if 'bouncer' originally referred to the hopwire that was in the beta but was cut from the final version of the game.)
But thanks again!

wait boomer... left for dead referance
ikillbad 9 months ago
@ikillbad Yeah, they actually do say that - 'Boomer' is in Half-Life 2's sound files, in the Combine Soldier folder (I think L4D started out as a mod, so maybe they heard and liked the name, or even planned to use HL2's audio in-game). In my version they use it as a codename or call sign for the launch of a headcrab canister, but in the original game I think it's the Combine's name for a gunship (because it moves like a boomerang, I'm guessing). I'm not sure, I could be wrong, though...?!

Where are the citizen's celebration sounds (WOOHOO! YES!) located?? I found them once, but i can't find them again.. i've looked in source sounds.gcf/sound/vo/npc/male01 but can't find it there? Can you give the name of the filenames?

@phillipjfry6 Thanks for watching - I couldn't remember either, but I've just had a look and I think the file you're after is located in source sounds.gcf/hl2/sound/vo/coast/odessa/male01/nlo_cheer01 (If you want them, there are other citizen/rebel celebration sounds in half-life 2 episode two english.gcf/ep2/sound/vo/outland_12/reb1_striderdown01- 13)
Thanks again.
