@Tokopol I don't think there's anything really wrong with private healthcare in the US apart from the 'previously existing condition' clause. It's expensive but at least our taxes are low which encourages investments both local & foreign (my source on this is Australia's public healthcare system; it works great but taxes are pretty high and it doesn't cover everything e.g. they'll pay the hospital bill but not the ambulance bill).

If it's purely jobs at stake--regardless of the inherent value of the work--we can take all those poor insurance men you feel so sorry for and pay them to dig and refill holes.
