The most interesting theory I've heard about human existence, the meaning of life, or where we came from.

  • yea but if you know or think its a simulation is it really a simulation

  • @Cammofluage It's all about 'Random Access Memory" (& smart developers :)

  • the meaning of life is to survive and die

  • @austpom333 In 'solid-form' ... Yes. But in a Superantihydrateaetha-based cross-dimensional realm... Who knows ??

I don't know about you, but I'm off to Endor to hunt Ewoks when I'm done here!

  • when you say this would be a fake universe I don't think it would be fake only just artifical

  • @austpom333 I'm thankful my life has more meaning than that.

  • @MtownAC Eventually the computer would reach the limit of its power and it would have to cut the 3s off creating an error. If you've watched the movie "The Matrix" then this is where Neo comes in. You may remember Neo asked the architect why he was there. The architect answers stating that Neo was the sum of the remainder of an unbalance equation. He was talking about the errors that build up due to limited computing power. Neo exploited the errors to break the program rules. Just my opinion.

  • You could do this without infinite computing power but there would be errors. In fact there isn't even infinite computer power in the entire universe. And you would need infinite computing power just to simulate a tiny region of space. Its like when you use a calculator to divide 10 by 3. You get 3.3333333 until the calculator runs out of room. But the 3s actually go out into infinity. The calculator just doesn't have the computing power to calculate the infinite 3s. And neither could a computer

  • the meaning of life is NULL

  • If we are living in an ancestor simulation, what happens when we "die"? Does the operator of this simulation "resurrect" us in the end? Are we willing participants in the simulation, or just background noise?

  • humans cannot escape the program that they are nor the thinking it conforms to, leave it alone.

  • I saw the Girl in the Red Dress !

  • Infinite computing power alone wouldnt allow for this,

it would require an understanding of the human brain and human consciousness so exceptional that we would could recreate it in a programming language or whatever we use to interface with computers in the future.

I doubt anyone will be able to ever understand, let alone recreate, the thought process of a human.

    Plus, chaos theory

  • @DelBluenose80 Go and tell your talking snake friend. He might show some interest in your babble.
