Very impressed with your teaching, Jim with your Lowden. I have been playing in standard tuning (or trying too) for years. I'm going to give this a good bash. I know the song from Fairport Convention's cover. It's a great alternate tuning with a sound that i love. Thanks mate!

This tutorial sequence has been great, but you haven't kept your promise (in Video One) of showing us how to adapt these skills you've taught to accompany jigs & reels etc. How about a video aimed especially at that? I'm sure I'm not the only frustrated session player who'd appreciate it. :-)

Thank you. As you say, put the pick away...play the Clapton way.....

That was a great instructional vid! One of these days I will take the time to put down my pick and use my fingers! 5/5

Jim, I just want to thank you for this series of tutorials. I was aware of the song 'in passing' but you have inspired me to learn it and sing it. Thank you again. By the way - do I detect a fellow Lancastrian?

You are most welcome, and thank you for your kind words; a fellow Lancastrian? - almost....... I wear both Red & White at football matches, but at cricket it's just the white rose!
