Vanessa and I take a day long road trip through some of the oldest pioneer communities on the North Island. The forgotten world highway is just that; a road through a part of the country that has changed little over the years and as a result feels like a drive back in time.
I'm lucky enough to be from Taranaki, and I drive this road every chance I get, simply to enjoy the scenery and the drive. Recently voted one of the best driving roads in the world {the paved bits anyway}. SO glad that you took the time to drive it while you were here. It's a real hidden gem. :) Come back soon!!

Cool vid. I'm going to do the drive soon, my partner doesn't understand why I sound the horn when I drive through any tunnel - she'll get it when we go through the Moki!
